(UPDATED) FILIPINO Olympian Ernest John "EJ" Obiena matched his own Philippine indoor pole vault record and claimed the bronze medal at the 2023 Mondo Classic in Uppsala, Sweden early Friday (Manila time).
Obiena cleared 5.91 meters to finish third behind second placer American KC Lightfoot and Swedish world record holder Mondo Duplantis, who ruled the event named after him.
