No consensus reached on price cap for onions, crackdown still not an option

AN official of the Department of Agriculture (DA) on Wednesday said that no consensus was reached on the price cap of onions during the meeting with stakeholders as the retail price of the bulbs remains high.

In an interview with The Manila Times, the source criticized both the onion farmers and importers after citing many reasons why they cannot bring down the prices of onions.
