ZAMBOANGA CITY: The Philippine Coast Guard rescued all 15 crew members of a motor boat after a fire broke out in the engine room before dawn Tuesday in the waters off Basilan province in southern Philippines.

The coast guard said the ill-fated boat, ML J. Dayang, left from here carrying a cargo of hardware materials and grocery goods and was headed to Tawi-Tawi's Bongao town when the fire broke out at around 2.30 a.m. near Lampinigan Island.
