TWO soldiers were killed while three others were wounded in two separate roadside bombings in Basilan on Tuesday, in what the military believed were in retaliation to the arrest of a member of the Abu Sayyaf Group. Lt. Col. Harold Cabunoc, chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Public Affairs Office, said the bombings came hours after joint elements of the AFP and the Philippine National Police arrested one Abdullah alias Al-Khobar, an ASG member facing various criminal charges. The military said the twin bombings were perpetrated by the group of Furuji Indama that is believed coddling the group of Malaysian terrorists.
